On the left side of the screen, select the state, county and town you want to search. You can search an entire county by checking the block just beneath county.
The selections on the right will help refine your search. The date range is the only mandatory selection. You must enter at least a starting date range. Dates need to be entered in the "xx/xx/xxxx" format. You need to enter a start date, but the end date is optional. If the end date is left blank, the results set will be until the current date.
The street name and foreclosure type will further refine your search. The drop down list for foreclosure type includes Petition to Foreclose, All Foreclosures, Foreclosure Auctions, Sherriff Sales, and REO's (Bank owned property). When selecting All foreclosures, you will see the most recent item in the foreclosure process. For example, if a property has been petitioned, you will see only the petition. If the property has an auction date, you will only see the auction date. If you see multiple items, such as multiple petitions to foreclose, it usually means that there have been multiple foreclosure actions in the timeframe selected for that specific property, such as having a petition to foreclose, that gets resolved, followed by a new petition to foreclose later. These are treated as separate events.
